"Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood. "- Fred Rogers
Mrs. Schwartz's Kindergarten Class George Lee Elementary School
Welcome to my class website. My name is Jamie Schwartz and I have the privilege of being the Kindergarten Teacher at George Lee School for the 2017-2018 school year. I believe that I am blessed to have a career that I am passionate about. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and helping them to learn and grow.
I graduated from the University of Regina in 2005. I specialized in Early Childhood Education and graduated with a Bachelor of Education Degree. I have taught Grade One and Two for three years, Literacy and Numeracy support for a year, and Kindergarten for five years. Kindergarten is a special time in a child's life full of learning, exploring and wonder and I am so happy to be a part of that journey with my students.
